Psa 103:8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Psa 103:9 He will not always chide: neither will He keep his anger for ever.
Psa 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Sometimes people feel that God is up in the Heaven's just waiting to punish them for their sins. Often this comes from a guilty feeling as a result of a guilty conscience, which in return destroys confidence toward our Heavenly Father, but we can rest assured that He is greater than our heart as stated in 1Jn 3:20-21:
1Jn 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
1Jn 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
God is very merciful, as a matter of fact every verse in Psalm 136 repeats of how His mercy endureth forever. If He has been dealing with you on a specific issue, no matter how small or big, repent of it and return to your first Love. Jesus Christ. You are greatly loved and appreciated! Keep going! He is faithful to complete the work He has started in you! His arms are open wide to receive you in all of His loving kindness and tender mercies as His beloved child.
